What it is and how it works Composition: Sculptra is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic substance similar to the material used in dissolvable stitches. Mechanism: When injected, it prompts your body to produce new collagen, which gradually fills in hollows and plumps the skin. Aftercare: After treatment, you will need to massage the treated area for 5 minutes 5 times a day for 5 days and avoid intense exercise or saunas for 24 hours.
